Hello,
It seems that I made a mistake in my DS-160 and my H1B got stamped with an error in my middle name. I repeated my lastname as my middle name so my full name appears as: 1stName 1stLASTNAME 1stLASTNAME 2ndLastname
I have a Tourist Visa also stamped wich is OK. Also the data on my passport.
My I797 is OK and everything else is OK.
I am still in my home country. Should I be worried about it? Should I try change it here or in the US?
In any event, what's the correct procedure to change it?
Thanks in advance

Texas fellas :
Please sign up on this thread to volunteer for this Saturday's Booth in Richardson for getting maximum local visibility for IV letter campaign.
Your hard work will be rewarded with some goodies!
TX is clearly doing better than both CA chapters... come on Californians, we need to rise to the occasion:)
Great job as usual, needhelp!

We received our H1B renewal approvals last week, and noticed on my wife's 797A that class type mentioned as H1B for the petition type I-539. It's supposed to be H4.
I informed our attorney and she emailed CSC about the same.
Has any one come across a similar thing ?

At this time, try the best you can.
Only when you get an RFE, do you have to provide employment verification letters etc.

I'm going to guess that the same folks in the Tea Party screaming about the deficit will somehow find this breaking news to be irrelevant. Of course, they also think the sky's the limit when it comes to spending on immigration enforcement. So much for being consistent. I'm in France until Sunday and blogging from my iPad. I'm having a little trouble with links so please cut and paste this link in your web browser to read te CBO report - http://www.cbo.gov/doc.cfm?index=11991.

I have a last pay check through an Employer A of August 1, 2008. Earlier before leaving Employer A I filed a H1 transfer to a new employer B and that got approved by USCIS but I didn't start working with Employer B. Now I am getting a new offer from Employer C which is better than Employer B. Attorney of Employer C says that he can file for a transfer through company A as the pay check is less than two weeks.
Now my problem is I not sure whether my transfer from A to C would be successfull or not?
Another thing I have not informed Employer B that I will not be joining him, Do I have to pay him all the H1 transfer fees?

Need urgent help.
I have files my visa (H1B), where I have diffence in my first name printed in my passport than on all my degree certificates.
In my 10th standard certifciate it was printed as "Gorav" should have been "Gaurav". But in all my degree certificates it's "Gaurav".
My last name is same in all certificates, passport etc.
My parents name and Date of birth and home address is also same in all certificates and passport.
When I filed my H1B I filled up my first name as "Gorav" (as it is in passport).
What shall I do know? Will it have any impact on my visa approval?
What shall I do before they ask me for any question?
Please help as it's time sensitive issue
Thanks in advance

You can initiate the process for both of you individually. Means u can apply Labor, I-140 individually. After that while applying I-485 its advaisable to move with the lawyer suggestion. So till I-140 you both can apply individually.

Hi,
My husband and I work for a large MNC. We have our own L1's. Currently my husband's L1A is under processing. There is a RFE on it.
I want to know if we can change the status for him from L1 to L2 or to H1 without he having to leave the country?
If so what is the process to do it?
Can I apply for his L2 while his L1A is under processing?
Thanks
Sujatha

Those of you who follow H-1B developments know that a memo issued last month essentially tries to bar H-1B use when the employer places the worker at a third party site. The aim was to target IT staffing companies in an attempt to deflect criticism from Senator Chuck Grassley. Despite the fact that there are a whole host of unintended consequences (for example, doctors in some states are actually barred by law from being employed by the hospitals where they work and must be employed by physician groups - bet you didn't think doctors' practices were staffing companies, but they...
