How about having another session of flowers campaign? Got to practice gandhigiri continuously. Should we select a date for that? I will say 23rd June'08? We need to draw media attention!!!

Common people. We desperately need atleast THIS campaign to be a success. I mean as a team the IV core CANNOT ask for an amount lesser than $5.00.
We are a member base of 30,000 members, cant we all contribute this once? It is exactly FIVE dollars that we ask of ALL members.
If we cannot get every single silent/dormant member to contribute atleast this once, then maybe we should just pack up our bags and fold, coz if we cant even contribute FIVE DOLLARS for our own betterment, we are in a very sorry state.

Please don't wait to reach a consenus on the content, take a cue from this letter and modify it to put your own experience..bottomline is to get the word out to Senator Cornyn & Rep. Lofgren. I am sure they will do something if we can get them this info...

Atlanta seem to be moving slowly. 2-3 cases per day on but there's many that haven't listed there. Hopefully it means lot more people are receiving approvals.

I emailed them not as me but as my employer( point of contact mentioned in the labor petition) and it works they send me a copy of the labor approval to my house along with a copy to my employer and one to my attroney. It really works.
Could you please give more details of your case.
How long was is pending?

Most of the Indian companies (TCS, Wipro, Infy, etc) have more than 50% H1Bs, I believe.
They will bring/hire more resources to near shore (if not onsite) Brazil/Canada to satisfy clients...This year the demand for H1b is around 25K.... next year that may go down to 10-15K... good for future EB -AOS applicants.. :-)

Hate to be repetitive, so just read my prev response.

Here is my point. I spend several hours 3-4 hours at least every day looking through the forum posts hoping to find ways i can contribute to efforts. There are several ideas that are generated in the forum. But cannot find out who is leading it. All i am saying is if we can have a listing of initiatives with some names associated. So i can contribute to the ones that i can support.
I am not sure if i am asking for too much here. I am not a IT guy. I do not know what it takes to post it in the front page.

I happen to be a freelance writer (not a journalist). In response to this thread, I have penned a 2,700 word commentary on the current challenges titled "The Plight of Promise". In order to beef it up with some compelling statistics, can 5 or 6 people respond to this thread with anonymized details of their specific circumstances and how they are suffering. Keep it to 2 or 3 sentences. I will cull out required data points to make the case. For ex:
- AD, a 31 yr old non immigrant worker from Poland with a wife and two kids. Unable to get into stage 3, meanwhile need to change my job and relocate to a specific city where my child's health needs can be taken care of. Unable to do so because...
