First be clear whats your point and then enlighten us how this supports your point.
Please let me know how this so called multinational executives are getting compensated. Whats the stock/option given to these executives. The available information shows only three days of extended stay and one week of car which they need to share with other executives. Fortunately the extended stay suites come with attached rest room. Otherwise they need to share with other multinational executives. There would be long queue in front of the shared room and eventual back log...
Yeap...we are very envious about this.
Yeah, I was so envious about that designation, that I have to leave it risking by giving 2 months of advance notice(policy of the company to give 2 months notice) and finding an employer who could file my H1 and suffering 1 yr of constant followups with the company to get my pay and PF and so on. And forgot to mention, that if 2 months notice is not given we are asked to sign an agreement to pay back close to 10 grand.
Is this how a multinational executive gets treated who are fortunately qualified for the EB1 category and company projects you as most valuable employee for business development who would be sponsoring you EB1.
If the company really feels the need , they may as well recruit someone locally who might be much more qualified without going through all of those hassles. All this is done as part and parcel of exploiting the system and its employees.
Luckily we have a choice whether to stay or not and move on to a different status like H1.

Ok then why dont we teach some respect and humility to professor ji to show some respect for his country men as well..
what a harsh speech that was..seems like some personal anger against india and their colleges...
The only harsh thing he said was that Indian education was awful. Everything else he said was extremely positive especially when he talked about the amazing progress India is making. I think he said that because he was saying that India is racing ahead and Indians are very successful entrepreneurs. (I am not sure).
I clicked on the link section under the video and found the slides that go with this. I have no idea what this website is or what NGA is, but here is where you can download the slides -- http://innovationandprosperity.pbwiki.com/innovationandprosperityMonday
He has many interesting slides on immigration and seems to be fighting for our cause.
So if you want to get nationalistic and get upset over silly things go ahead!!!
I wish I could go to Duke University or Harvard. I could not get admission or afford it if I did.

Sent an email to PBEC a month ago asking about my case status. Got their response today. They assigned me a case number, which seems to be generated on the 157th day of 2005 (P-05157-54869 ). However, my lawyer hasn't received any 45-day letter. Can this be possible?
My PD is April 2004. Filed from Delaware. Anybody knows a similar case?
Below is the email reply from PBEC:
-------------------
Dear Requestor:
The subject case P-05157-54869 has been received by the Philadelphia Backlog Elimination Center and is currently awaiting further review by a Backlog Elimination Center analyst. Due to the large volume of LC Applications currently being processed by the Backlog Elimination Center; we are unable to provide you with an exact processing time. If you need additional information, please visit the following Internet website:
http://www.foreignlaborcert.doleta.gov/
There is no need to submit multiple requests. If you have not already received one, the next notices that you will receive from this office will be a 45-Day Letter and a Selection of Continuation Option letter.

...here is the latest example (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/NEWS/India/For_IITians_today_home_is_where_the_moolah_is/articleshow/1054987.cms).
'One leg of an IITian is in India, the other in Air India' went a popular wisecrack of the late 1980s and early '90s. No longer. The brain drain from IITs has diminished to a trickle, with only 21 out of 3,980 BTech graduates going abroad in 2006.
About two decades ago, over 80% IITians hopped on to a plane for foreign shores, the preferred destination being the US. The 'IIT route' was a BTech from IIT, an MS (Masters) from USA and a dollar job. Much has changed since then, and brains that used to be siphoned off by developed nations are now preferring to stay back home.
In the early 1990s, the outflow of computer science graduates to the US was so high that the World Bank, in a report, had suggested that an exit tax be imposed on IITians and other professionals leaving the country this, it said, could earn the government over $1 billion (about Rs 4,400 crore) per annum. Today, if the government decided to adopt this, it would earn only crumbs.
A quick look at statistics shows that in 2006, only three of IIT Kanpurs 273 BTech students and two from the five-year MSc integrated course went abroad. All the others 267 MTech students, two-year MSc grads and MBAs stayed back in the country. At IIT Delhi, of the approximate 1,000 job-seekers, only one student went abroad to join CapitalOne, a financial consulting firm.
The slowdown is evident even at the older IITs. At IIT Mumbai, 95% of the students were placed in India while at IIT Madras, only two BTech students went on to join Lehman Brothers at the Tokyo office.
"There was a time when I had to set aside days to write recommendation letters for students wanting to go abroad, either to study or work," says Ashok Misra, IIT-B director. Now, because good jobs are available to BTech students, not many opt for post-graduate courses abroad. Only about 15% students go overseas for higher studies and approximately 5% take a job outside India."
Ratnajit Bhattacharjee, faculty in-charge (training and placement) of IIT Guwahati, says corporate giants still opt for IITians but prefer to recruit them for their India operations. Bhattacharjee attributes the phenomenon of "almost zero brain drain" to the fact that MNCs have not just entered the country in a big way but are also looking at greater expansion here. "British Telecom used to regularly hire IIT Guwahati students, he says. It does today also, but for its Bangalore operations."
Deepak Phatak, former head of the computer science department at IIT Bombay, who conducted exit interviews with students from 1991 to 1994, remembers almost everyone then was flying to the US.

Phone calls "is the need of the hour" - please call the CHC members urging them to support Congresswoman Lofgren's bills.
Making phone calls is the best form of Gandhigiri at this moment
Why not do a flower campaign or the like, that we did last time? Clearly that worked and the phone campaign doesnt "have the appearance" of working. I am not saying it is not working, it just isint having the same media impact as last time. It doesnt have to be the flower campaign again, heck we can do a fruit basket deal this time.
Our message should be "Please stop punishing people that came here the right way, in order to help the people that did not". We are not against undocumented workers getting amnesty, we just dont want their issues to hold up everyone else's.

No, this is only the processing time for labor application, the whole process took a lot longer than this. I first submitted my document to the lawyer in the last week of January this year. Lawyer prepared my case, wages approval etc. it took around 1+ month to get preventing wages. then advertisement, recruitment process etc.
almost 8 month to finish all the requirements before the company could actually file the labor application.
I hope this answers your question.
Thanks for the reply. 8 or 10 months. Its still worth it. You did the right thing. Congrats and good luck!

Landed in August 2000.
Company A filed Eb2 labor in Aug 2003, went to backlog center, got an intent to deny letter, replied to that letter, eventually got denied.
Company B filed EB3 labr in Sep 2004, luckily filed I-485 in July 2007, got EAD.
Now working for Company C on EAD as an FTE using AC21 memo feature.

I believe so. I assume that USCIS eventually sends a letter acknowledging the revocation, but I don't know for sure.
